Art Elements & Principles

Color
I chose to incorperate this picture of blown glass ceiling from Las Vegas into our scavenger hunt to show color. As you can see in this picture the blown glass sculptures show an array of different colors.

Space
This next picture of a snowy sunrise showcases space. You can see that some trees look closer because they are bigger and some look farther because they are smaller. You can also notice the overlap of some items showing a perfect example of space.

Texture
This closeup image of my horse's eye is a great example of texture. Have you ever touched a horse's eye? I bet not, but from this picture you can probably begin to imagine exactly what it would feel like. You can see the glossiness of the eyeball itself and then also the difference between the soft fur and wirery eyelashes.

Rythem/Movement
This action packed photo of my dogs running across the beach models what movement would look like in a still photo. The reason it shows movement is by the tells of the sand flying, the body posture of the dogs, and the blurry feet.

Value
The above picture shows value in such an interesting way! I thought it would be cool to show how nature uses value. In this picture you can see how the starting from the sun out the difference of oranges in the sunset. Again shown in the layering of the mountains with the orangy/brown colors!
